Mackenzie Together Grants

Our grants provide funding annually to registered Canadian charitable organizations focused on enhancing the economic empowerment of women across Canada. Recent grant recipients include a range of organizations that serve women, girls and families in skills development, STEM programs, education and more.

Women in Asset Management

Mackenzie partners with Western University's Ivey School of Business to sponsor the Women in Asset Management program, empowering 50 female students every year through training. Select participants also receive internships at Mackenzie.

Ching Tien Foundation for Women

Mackenzie’s partnership with the Ching Tien Foundation has transformed the lives of hundreds of women in China since 2019, helping them earn degrees, and lift their families out of poverty.  Participants in the program have a 99 per cent graduation rate.

Scholarships for Ivey School of Business

Since 2021, Mackenzie, as part of IGM Financial, has provided scholarships to women at the Ivey Business School at Western University. This funding has supported 20 Honours Business Administration students in their educational journeys.

She Skis

She Skis is a mentorship program providing young female ski racing athletes with opportunities to learn valuable skills in nutrition, teamwork, mental preparedness, and athletics from nationally ranked athletes and coaches.

Women in Ski Racing

The Level Up Program is a partnership between Alpine Canada and Mackenzie Investments that supports the advancement of women ski coaches through funding and professional development opportunities.

Versafi

External partnerships are vital for accelerating inclusion. One of our key partners in this area is VersaFi, which plays a key role in shaping our strategy and accelerating gender equity through impactful programs, research, and industry collaboration. 

Mackenzie Gives

Our Mackenzie Gives program allows Mackenzie employees to support the charities that matter most to them through monetary donations, volunteerism, and actions. Mackenzie offers corporate matching for donations and volunteer time. 

Every year, Mackenzie employees celebrate Giving Week, engaging in volunteer activities and fundraising events that support the Mackenzie Investments Charitable Foundation. In 2024, our efforts resulted in meaningful impact.

Mackenzie Investments Charitable Foundation

The Mackenzie Investments Charitable Foundation is an employee-led Canadian registered charity. Funded through employee donations and corporate contributions, the Foundation has raised $15 million for communities across the country since its inception in 1999. The Foundation celebrated it’s 25th anniversary in 2024 by supporting more than 8,000 Canadian women and children through 34 partner charities.

Community Partnerships

Mackenzie also actively supports various community organizations and initiatives, including the University of Manitoba, Queen’s University, Concordia University, University of Toronto, Red River College Polytechnic, CancerCare Manitoba, the Icelandic Festival, BlackNorth, St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, Tel-jeunes foundation, and more.
